1. Definitions
“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to JRC Electrical.
“Client”, “you”, or “your” refers to the customer engaging our services.
“Works” means all electrical works, materials, labour, and services supplied.
2. Quotations
2.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
2.2 Quotes may be withdrawn or revised after this period due to changes in material costs, availability, or labour.
2.3 A quotation does not constitute a binding contract until accepted by the client and confirmed by us.
3. Acceptance of Work
3.1 Acceptance may be given verbally, in writing, by email, or by instructing us to proceed with the works.
3.2 Once accepted, cancellation may result in charges for work completed, materials ordered, and reasonable administrative costs.
4. Pricing & Variations
4.1 Prices are based on the information provided at the time of quotation.
4.2 Any additional works, changes, or unforeseen issues will be discussed with the client and may incur additional charges.
4.3 We reserve the right to charge for additional labour and materials required to complete variations.
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Payment terms will be stated on the quotation or invoice.
5.2 Unless otherwise agreed, all invoices are payable within 7 days of the invoice date.
5.3 Late payments may be subject to interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
5.4 We reserve the right to suspend works if payment is overdue.
6. Ownership of Materials
6.1 All materials supplied remain the property of JRC Electrical until payment has been made in full.
6.2 We reserve the right to remove unpaid materials from site where safe and practical to do so.
7. Access & Client Responsibilities
7.1 The client must provide safe and clear access to the work area during agreed times.
7.2 We are not responsible for delays caused by restricted access, unsafe conditions, or third-party interference.
7.3 The client is responsible for ensuring that existing installations or structures are suitable for the works.
8. Standards & Certification
8.1 All works will be carried out in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and relevant UK legislation.
8.2 Electrical certification will be issued where applicable once full payment has been received.
9. Liability & Insurance
9.1 We hold appropriate public liability insurance.
9.2 We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of earnings or business interruption.
9.3 Our liability is limited to the value of the works carried out.
10. Warranty & Defects
10.1 Workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months unless otherwise stated.
10.2 This does not cover faults caused by misuse, accidental damage, third-party alterations, or normal wear and tear.
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, supply shortages, or illness.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
13. Acceptance
By accepting a quotation or instructing us to proceed with works, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
